SP-HQ-2, loosely based on “The Cathedral” by John Hejduk,  focusses on the idea of excessive spare parts. It explores the possibilities of how an excessive number of objects can take over a regular box and also examines the kind of relationship the objects start to create with the container and vice versa. A bespoke kit of container, contents, liners and a large assembly drawing were produced for the SP-HQ-2 Gun Metal edition model kit.  The project created a toy-like effect at scale, scalar ambiguity and weird reductions through which the original precedent was transformed through the strange inner realities.
